Today we get to see the 6 star-studded teams battle it out in the arena at BLAST Pro Series São Paulo, in front of a crowd consisting of 7000 Brazilians hoping to see MIBR come back from a terrible start yesterday. Here is a quick recap of Round 3 at São Paulo before we head into Round 4.
Astralis continue their dominance with a 3-0 record against hometown favorites MIBR
MIBR quickly gained a 3-1 lead against danish titans Astralis, but would not gain much more in the first half as the Danes quickly turned the tables, and finished the half with an impressive 11-4 lead. Astralis would shoot towards map point, reaching 15-4 before MIBR awoke from slumber, beginning a comeback that would be ended at 16-10, meaning that the Brazilians have no chance of getting to the finals in front of their home crowd.
Liquid beat former superstar team, FaZe
Two titanic superstar teams faced off on Cache, saw Liquid start off on the right foot, grabbing a 3-0 scoreline before FaZe retaliated. Liquid would secure a 9-1 lead after an impressive ace clutch from Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken in a 1v3 situation. FaZe would only be able to gain some ground after being down 1-11 down, stringing together multiple rounds before losing the game on an eco to the North Americans, ending Cache 16-8 in Liquid’s favor.
A Scandinavian standoff at BLAST Pro Series São Paulo
Two of the Scandinavian teams, ENCE and NiP, would face off on Nuke, where ENCE would showcase utter dominance from the get-go, stringing 10 rounds together before NiP finally answered back with a few rounds of their own, ending the first half 12-3 in ENCE’s favor. NiP picked up the pistol round in the second half, coupling it with two more rounds before ENCE would pick up from where they left, ending the game 16-7.
