Continuing the pirate theme of Season 8 treasure maps are taking centre..loading screen. This week, the third in Fortnite’s new season, tasks players with reaching a fairly specific part of the map, and they’re using a treasure map on the loading screen to highlight it’s location.
You’ll be rewarded with a Battle Star, loot chests and some artwork that’s interesting in and of itself, but besides all that the area is fascinating.
Follow along with us and we’ll show you how to get there!
Fortnite’s treasure map Battle Star location guide
A few prerequisites before we get started, you’ll need to have reached Tier 10 of the Fortnite Season 8 Battle Pass to unlock the Treasure Map loading screen but if you’re a dedicated player with a lot of time then you’re there already, so let’s dive in!
Once you reach Tier 10, you’ll see the loading screen has changed, not dramatically so you may have missed it if you haven’t been paying attention, There’s now a magnifying glass and it’s been left over a circle of trees close to a mountain and a tower. Some of you might have just figured it out but for the rest follow our guide below and we can make sure you end up in the right place!
If you check out the map we’ve left above you can see a highlighted ring in the bottom left. This is the circle that the magnifying glass is highlighting! Some of you might be thinking to immediately descend on here at the start of the match and that’s your choice, but remember there will be a lot of other people with that same idea so it’ll be full of heavy fire. Not to mention some of the scenery is gorgeous so you’ll want to take your time and take it in, Fortnite have been upping their artistic focus lately so there’s some nice detail here.
Where’s the Fortnite’s treasure map Battle Star?
I hear you cry. Okay, okay it’s in B8 by C8 on the map above. If you make your way between Polar Peaks and Frostly Flights you’ll find a nice circle of trees and inside there are a few Ice Sculptures around the area (which look suspicious right?… hints for later in Season 8?).
One of the sculptures is instantly recognisable to many Fortnite’s players as the Ice King who was introduced in Season 7. Facing off against him is a warrior with a Shield and Spear, it’s very 300. Behind him is what looks like Hermes, going by the winged sandals and the attire. For those less familiar with Greek mythology, that’s the blue guy with the funky flying shoes from Disney’s Hercules.
From the statues simply walk to the base of the Ice King statue and it will appear either on the mound he stands on or slightly away in the location the three statues intersect.
So there you have it! Go out and…well…likely, you’ll get gunned down by the horde of people dashing to this Fortnite map location. But good luck anyway!
